My name is Tory Odom and I am the owner and primary technician of Odom Refinishing. I have been in the refinishing business for over 13 years. I started my career doing repair paintwork for multiple dealerships here in Austin, including Mercedes, BMW, and Infiniti. Many of these vehicles were brand new and going back to the showroom so perfection was a must. I took my eye for detail and focus on quality to a full sized repair shop in Brooklyn in 2005 where I continued to hone my skills of welding, frame straightening and body repair. After my wife finished graduate school, we moved back home to Austin in 2009. I continued doing body and paint work until the fall of 2010 when I rented my shop space to do some work on the side for myself and now I am taking the plunge into full time self employment.
I am passionate about all types of refinishing and paint work. While in Brooklyn, I professionally finished custom cabinets and furniture for multi million dollar apartments. I also was a sculpture painter for Jeff Koons, one of the highest grossing modern artists of our time. I have also refinished boats, RVs and still do the occasional set of kitchen cabinets for a high-end mill shop here in town. In my free time, I enjoy airbrush painting and restoring the little 1956 house we bought in Windsor Park.
Over the years I have learned that honesty, quality work, superior products and affordable prices are what make a truly good repair facility and this is the philosophy of Odom Refinishing. I am ASE Certified and I-CAR Platinum Trained. I will never lie to my customers, nor will I suggest work that I do not feel is necessary.
